My Basilisk X Hyperspeed V2 (say that 5 times fast) has been a reliable companion for over a year and a half of daily work. Thanks to that fact, the factory pads and buttons have some wear and were getting a bit long in the tooth. I figured it would not make it to the 2 year mark without wearing through the pad, especially where my thumb rests while gripping the mouse. Razer makes a grip kit but that only covers the mouse buttons and areas of the battery cover.For under $10 (cost of the Razer kit,) this offering covers all contact points for finger pads/tips. It looks great, was delivered quickly, and is a great fit on all edges. In fact, I was looking for a plain black kit that looks like it might have come from Razer. The low profile is better for the office. This fits the bill!Yes, it does not cover all of the factory pads but I don't want it to. The button cutouts are very precise as to not overhang on any edges or collect dust. The pads themselves have a very thin foam layer which improves padding for comfort. I always thought the profile was just a bit thin on the Basilisk, especially compared to my Mamba on the home rig, so the added benefit here is the introduced width.I'm very happy with this purchase. If I get to use this mouse for another 18 months I might just have to replace the pads again. Here's to more happy days of use!
