I very rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with this, I feel compelled to. I have been going to a medspa for the last year for micro needling. I was happy with the results, but wanted to see if I could do it myself to save some money. I have now used this micro needling pen 3 times and wow - it is as good as the medspa! Definitely recommend!!!I was pleasantly surprised how easy this was to use. It wasn't complicated or scary at all. I am currently breastfeeding, and the instructions say not to use it while pregnant or breastfeeding (to ensure your body has enough nutrients to properly heal the skin), so I used this on my husband, haha! He said the bonier parts of his face, such as his forehead and cheek bones, hurt the most, but it wasn't anything too bad and he never flinched or sneezed. He got the usual pinkness you would expect from a treatment, and only had one case of pinpoint bleeding. The next day his skin looked normal, just a little dry. I think I could have gone deeper in his treatment and will do so next time. (Men have thicker skin due to their higher level of testosterone.)It was easy to get the needle cartridge on and off, and simple change the needle depth during the session to accommodate different areas of the skin. After the 10 minute session, the battery was still 75% full, so I am confident I will get at least 2 more sessions before needing to recharge.The device comes with 3 sizes of needles ready for you to use: nano, 16 needle, and 36 needle. Sso far I have tried the 36 needle which is more aggressive that the nano, but not as intense as the 16.Some tips:When you first put the cartridge on, be sure to pull off the white plastic piece at the top. This is covering the needles.Be sure your hands and face are clean and sterilized before starting the session.You need to use some sort of serum to help the pen glide across your face. I used a simple hyaluronic acid that worked great.After the session, wash your hands again and rinse your face with lukewarm water, then do your utmost not to touch your face! The channels you make in your skin with the pen will close rather quickly, but you want to be sure not to get your face dirty right after a session to prevent infection.This is such a cool device and I will update more with results as soon as I have done a few more sessions.Update, I added a before and after after 3 sessions (once session a month for best results) my dark under eye circles are way better. Do not use directly under eyes. You must do the cheeks under the eyes that will give the lift needed to get results.I love this little machine for getting Hyaluronic acid into the skin. I've managed to get the results I was hoping for. One was dark circles under my eyes (warning do not go directly under the eyes) for best results for dark circles under eyes, penetrate the hyaluronic acid into the area of the cheeks that is under the dark circles. This will give lift helping to eliminate the dark circles.Compare the price to the cost you'd spend at the spa, and you'll see that it not only saves you time but also saves you money.As I have a sensitive skin, I was afraid when i first used this, so I did a full youtube research on how deep you should go on each area. So make sure you read the manual.For me, I feel like it is also another advantage compare to the clinic, as you can feel the depth you should go within what is recommended for each area.Keep in mind that you should keep the area and the pen clean and sanitized. And do a little search on the products you should avoid right after the procedure (like vit C and make up) and the products that will help you with the common inflammation after the procedure (like HA serum).Remember that to stimulate the collagen, it is normal to have some inflammation (2nd pic). As expected, your face will stay blushed for around 12-24hrs, so plan your schedule! As in any esthetic product, if you have sensitive skin like me, I'd recommend you to start with a little area first to see how it feels.I'm on my 3rd application but I can already tell the difference as it decreased some bumps I had in my forehead and helped me with some small wrinkles and expression marks.The micro needling pen comes with 5 sterilized and disposable cartridges where each individual cartridge has a different effect on your skin. It comes with very detailed information on how to use it, what benefits it has, and what skin care products you shouldn’t use when using the pen. I have acne prone skin so I apply green tea serum and use the 16 pin cartridge. After each use, my face gets red and a little irritated but it goes away the next day. The pain is also not that bad, I don’t consider it to be painful. Have to be careful not to press the needle too hard on your skin. I guarantee reading all the information on the pamphlet will be super useful (about 10 min).After a few uses the acne scars on my cheek does appear lighter. My skin always looks brighter and feels softer the next day after micro needling. I was wondering what to do after I run out of cartridges but they sell the cartridges separately at a pretty reasonable price.
