Very comfortable, love it! Actually gives a lot of space for the mouse as well.I feel like the aesthetic was designed for gaming but the pad itself is very small. FPS games are basically impossible. Pad is pretty comfortable and I'm surprised that resting my wrist on plastic doesn't cause it to sweat like crazy but it does work. It just seems very expensive for what it is. When you can get a mousepad for $8 is this one worth the price of 4 of them? It's still going strong after 2 years of daily use at work. This has a brilliant wrist support, that prevent much of the ache that I normally associate with heavy mouse use, but it is let down somewhat by a truly terrible mat area. The surface is not quite right for an optical or a laser mouse to track on properly, and you end up with mouse skip, which for anything requiring accuracy is never a good thing.I would have loved to give this a 5 star review, based on the brilliant support that the wrist rest offers, but the mat makes it an average purchase at best, because you either need to peel away the glued down mat to put something else in its place, or lay another mat over the top, which changes the ergonomics of the wrist rest due to the extra height.Kensington almost got it right, and I hope that they do read reviews and the feedback they get, and they can look at an alternative surface in future, so I can get comfort and usability 'out of the box', and not have to modify what should be a perfect product.I got this for my son, he has the long wrist rest of the same too. He works long hours at the PC so this helps a lot. He has cerebral palsy so it helps greatly to take lresure of his wrist and hand. In his work as a 3d artist he has to be very precise so this and the crazy expensive mouse are a great addition to his working life. It sticks slightly to the desk so once you have found your sweet spot it will stay there. It's easy to clean, easy on the eye. I did quite a bit of research for the best one and this was it.I usually use something until its dead'er than dead and seen as my old Mousemat had punctured and all the goo was falling out I decided having a top end PC that cost me north of £2500+ a decent mousemat was much in need, So I looked around and was lost as there is so many to go for, I am a gamer as well (BRING BACK JUST SURVIVE!) so I needed a mousemat with a decent circumference and by luck I saw this! The colors did the first eye opener as RED is my fav color but the make "Kensington" are a high end make of products like this, The fact Amazon had it on offer was the last nail in the coffin and I had to buy it, Well I also bought a new gaming mouse just to compliment it and WOW! They work Hand In Glove. This review is about the mousemat so I wont talk about the mouse on here (See my other feedbacks) so the one thing I forgot to look at was the size of usable mouse area on the mat? as a gamer and a prolific Youtuber who has his own channel I need the right equipment to help me generate money on my channel, Well it was luck that this mat isnt huge but its a comfortable working area for the mouse unless your a mouse maneuvering nutter he needs a seperate PC desk just for the mouse??This is a really nice compliment to a decent mouse and PC setup that not only looks the part but also has a peelable bottom which is sticky so you can place it and it wont move or you can keep the paper on it and just pick it up when you like...OVERALL i'd give the mat 9/10.I am mean with 5 stars - this IS a 5 star product, warts and all/I bought this for the wrist rest NOT the mousemat - primarily.I use Kensington trackballs, currently my love is the slimblade (irritating having to use ball as a scroll wheel, but less wear and tear on fingers and wanted a decent wrist rest.I am not exaggerating about the gel - you can clean it with antibac wipes etc, great for excema AND in hot weather such as current heatwave; ditto the mat part.If it gets a bit slippy, you can wipe it down or even wash it!You can't do that with other mouse mats! Also the gel IS more comfy, forget memory foam (sweatier actually) and fabric covers (polyester IS sweatier).POSSIBLY because it is two gel strips not a single foam one - not just a visual gimmick, it works. The main pad gives a firm and above all stable surface to locate the trackball, ie no mucking around locating the wrist rest.It does stick to a formica esque surface quite well without being glued, so is easily repositioned while being in optimal, functional, position. From the feel of it, it would be good for conventional mice - pay extra for optical, going by my trackballs it IS worth the extra - easier to clean for a start.I AM a long term fan of Kensington devices, i've used them for over 30 years and found it to be a reliable brand - value for money and DEPENDABLE.Better to pay a wee bit more up front and have reduced ongoing costs; in this case ease of cleaning and likely product lifetime.Yes I bought a spare AND two of the keyboard versions (£27ish but worth it), because as good as it is, I will not trust a gel filled object not to puncture, whatever the brand.I'm dyspraxic so risk assess EVERYTHING for worst case scenario, ie is it ME proof?Probably not, but best I could find.Great wrist support and very comfortable but notice it doesn't work for every mouse!. I did read the reviews and I bought it anyway because I wanted to see if I could use it with my iMac and it works perfectly with my wireless apple mouse. I also wanted to use it with my MSI laptop. I have a Logitec mouse for it but it doesn't work at all, the surface is too shinny I think, and the cursor skip and jolt randomly around the screen no matters you do. Would be great if the brand could solve this problem and the product can be used with any device so I could buy another one for my Logitec mouse.
