This item by nature of the material it is made of arrived with a " skunk-like" smell. I spent days cleaning it with dish washing liquid, baking soda, tried spraying it with odor fighters- nothing worked. I asked the seller if they had any advice on how to get the smell out. They kindly printed me a new one and sent it to me. It still smelled when I got it. I tried other methods of cleaning it, finally just leaving it outside to "breathe" The picture is beautiful and the smell has dissipated enough to use. To be honest, I think any mouse pad I purchased would have presented the same problem. Just the nature of the material. However, I would buy from this seller any day of the week, due to their eagerness to correct the problem.I really love the image, BUT the smell is awful & even sticks to my wrist. Not sure if this is standard with all mouse pads (I usually buy in-store where the mouse pad is hanging without packaging & already "aired out") If the smell doesn't go away in a week I'm throwing it out. I'll update my review if the smell goes away, otherwise this product is a waste & I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.The color is faded and doesn't look like like the picture online.
