Basically, three things I like about it. 1. It is very quiet. Not noisy like a chain drive unit. 2. Easy to establish the travel distance (up and down) for the garage door. This is programmable with just a touch of a button. 3. It is connected to my Wifi and I can control it with an app on my phone.I am 65 and I was able to do it. This makes my fourth garage door opener that I have installed by myself. A good ladder and the correct tools is all you need. You will need to read the instructions carefully.I didn't like the way it was shipped to me. The unit is packaged in it's own box which was put in a shipping box. Since there was no padding added, the product was allowed to move a lot in the shipping box. Also, there wasn't enough tape used to seal the shipping box. It arrived opened and it was left at my front door. UPS didn't even bother to put more tape on it to seal the box. Also, UPS didn't bother to ring the door bell.I like it a lot The MyQ tells me when the garage door opens what time and date you can add a camera and it's easy to setup.So much quieter than my chain drive. If you have anybody above the garage, this belt drive is a must. I also like that I can open it or make sure it’s closed by my phone. We love the quiet smooth operation. Installer suggested we buy and he installed as cost savings. Amazon was least expensive and quicker than if I went to storeInstallation was easy and straight forward. Had a couple issues after installation. 1) One of the remotes would not work. Battery was good, but what I did the remote would not work. Contacted customer service to get a replacement remote. But they stated that they could not replace just the remote. They would send me a whole new kit, not just the remote. What a big hassle and waste. But I wanted two working remotes. So, so be it. 2) Have not been able to program the MyQ. I've followed the direction and the trouble shoots. Nothing working. Big headache.The good things. 1) Very quite, I went from a chain to a belt. The difference is night and day. 2) programming the car pretty easy.Love how quite it is and you can open and close it from the app anywhere in the world. What a great buy.CRAFTSMAN 1/2 HP Smart Garage Door Opener 2 lights- bought to replace my old Craftsman 1/2 HP 1 light chain drive opener (remote/board went out). This one is whisper quiet. It was easy to remove/replace the unit using the same ceiling brackets. I did have to replace the track (included) and also the bracket over the garage door where the track attaches (smaller bracket,included). Very easy to replace the wall control, hang (& pair up) the outside keypad control. I used the existing sensors since they seem to work fine and put the new ones away in case the old ones fail. (When I say "I" I mean I assembled and my boyfriend installed). I have not tried syncing with my wifi.
