I got a new family that just moved into my garage. They weren't invited, and they need to go. Problem is....my daughter will absolutely freak out if I kill them. I also am a klutz. I don't want to have a traditional trap snap and get my fingers while I'm trying to set it up. So when I saw this deal on Prime Day, I had to get a set.I filled the back door with the finest peanut butter from my local warehouse club, drizzled some extra onto the back of the trap (so they won't starve), and scattered them in my garage.I just put them in my garage 2 hours ago, and already got one of the little suckers. Me and my daughter have released it to its new home (a park) about a block away. After pointing the food bin/back door up (allowing the mouse to fall back to the trap opening), it was easy to open up the tube and dump the little guy into the grass. There was still plenty of peanut butter in the back door. , I just flipped the ramp back down, and it was ready for another mouse.Goodbye little critter, good luck, watch out for them owls and snakes! Hopefully we get to "reunite" the rest of the fam to their new neighborhood soon.Maintenance workers in my office building did some exterminating in the underground garage. This caused the mice to move to the upper floors where I work. My co-workers started freaking out when they started seeing mouse droppings on their desks. When the sticky traps put down by maintenance weren't working; I took matters into my own hands and ordered these humane traps. When they arrived from Amazon, I followed the instructions. At first I had some difficulty removing the food compartment from two of the traps but was finally able to do so. I put peanut butter inside the compartment of each trap and placed them in four areas of the office at the end of my work day.The next morning, My co-worker said I caught not one mouse but two and sent me the photo. I was amazed because I didn't expect to catch anything so soon let alone two mice. Believe it or not I felt kind of bad because I caught a mom & a baby? I called maintenance so they could release them far away from the office building. Two weeks have passed and there have been no complaints of any mouse droppings on desks.I'm going to order some of these traps for my father because he's has mice and the spring loaded traps he's using aren't working.I set these up 30 minutes ago, caught one mouse in 5 minutes, just caught another. I used Swiss cheese as bait. I think glue traps are horrible (could you imagine going through that) I don’t like poison as I have pets and in general I don’t like killing little innocent creatures. So far I love these traps, I haven’t had to clean them out yet as you can hear when the trap goes off so I move them immediately outside into the woods but love the cleaning brush for such use. Side note. It says to not let them loose on the trap door side, I actually found it’s easier than the bait part, you can lose your bait, so ive been using trap side and using something long to keep it open, but I’m not scared of mice so it’s really up to you. 10/10. Will post updates if need be.I purchased these in an effort to catch and release the mice trying to make my home their winter residence. These traps worked fabulously! One end pulls off to add the bait (we used peanut butter) and then the other side pushes down and triggers shut when a mouse enters. We caught three mice in two days and seem to be (hopefully) mouse free! They were super easy to prepare and it was very easy to release the mouse outside. I was nervous about getting nipped but it's easy to get your fingers out of the way and shake the tube a little to let the mouse out.The only negative is that it's a little difficult to get the teeny mouse poops out of the trap. But I'll deal with that if I can easily catch the mice and humanely release them. I recommend! The most exciting thing about these traps is the audible "click" they make when a mouse is caught. We have backyard chickens and have had a mouse problem for years. We got 18 in two days! I love staying outside for a while and listening for the glorious sound of the trap click. The important thing is to reset a trap right away in the same spot if a mouse gets caught. There's always more than one in the same area. Check often and rotate locations if nothing caught in a few hours. I baited with scratch grain first, and while it was successful, the smaller seeds got out of the inside holes and clogged up the mechanism. I then baited with raw sunflower seeds and also tiny amounts of wet chicken crumble. I figured if flies love the smell of wet chicken food, mice would too. It worked like a charm! They were easy to set and they obviously work! We caught 19 mice! One time the mouse's tail got caught in the door but it did not hurt him and we were able to lower the door enough that he could get his tail out. The "back door" is a little hard to open at first to let the mice out, but after a few mice it gets easier. Just be sure to release the mice MILES away from civilization so that they don't come back to your house or take up residence in a neighbor's home. Highly recommend!I have been using these mouse traps for last 10 days and they are working really great. I have placed them in my basement and I got one baby mouse already. They are easy to use and capture the mice in humane way so that I can release them afterwards. These mouse traps seem of good quality . They do not look flimsy at all. The spring works well and I found it very easy to set it up too. Most importantly these were the cheaper than others listed on Amazon: I got four traps in the price of two. I only gave 4 stars because shipping was a bit slower than expected but otherwise they are excellent. I certainly recommend these.
