Wow! I never thought I would be so impressed by something so ordinary as a mouse pad, yet, here I am writing my first review. I tend to work long hours in front of my computer (much to the dismay of my wrists) and I've found that mouse pads with built-in wrist support are the only thing keeping my wrists from quitting on me. Unfortunately, most of the mouse pads I've gone through have had at least one major flaw:1) Size - If only mouse pads w/ wrist support would come in greater varieties/sizes I wouldn't have to settle for mouse pads that are just too damn large for my keyboard area. Ok, so this is more of an issue having to do with aesthetics - having your keyboard draped over your mouse pad is just unsightly.2) Material (Top) - I'm currently using the Cooler Master Storm Recon mouse and I find that most of the mouse pads I've used (my most recent one being of the Allsop variety) just don't play well with this type of mouse. I would either have to boost the sensitivity to ridiculous levels or live with reduced accuracy.3) Material (Bottom) - I pick up and move my mouse around quite often and (once again) most mouse pads don't have the necessary amount of grip to keep it from sliding around every five seconds.4) Wrist Support - All of my previous mouse pads have fallen into one of these camps: too hard, too soft, or just perfect (but only for a week and then there's an indentation right down the middle that won't spring back). And this is how this Fellowes mouse pad stacks up to all of the other mouse pads that have let me down -1) Size - Just what my computer desk asked for. It's a small mouse pad that is longer than it is wide but with enough width that I don't find myself constrained. I do have to note that I: have small hands, use a small mouse, use a claw grip (instead of a palm grip) to handle the mouse and thus, I am constantly picking it up whenever I move it.2) Material (Top) - My mouse just glides on this thing! Contrary to what was said on one of the other reviews for this product, laser mice will, indeed, work just fine on this thing. I now find my mouse to be much more accurate and easier to drag around.3) Material (Bottom) - The bottom of this mouse pad is pretty damn sticky. I can see how this may prove a negative to people that have this mouse pad lying on certain materials that don't play nice with the absurd amount of stickiness (glass, etc). I, on the other hand, use this mouse pad on a plywood desk and it works just fine. Actually, I love that I don't have to worry about my mouse pad flying around due to the tiniest amount of movement.4) Wrist Support - Firm yet with a decent amount of give. The middle sinks in just enough to prove comfortable and snaps right back into shape once you remove your wrist. So far I'm loving this wrist support, but I'll come back and do an update in a few months to see how it's fairing after a good deal of abuse.Oh, and did I mention it's antimicrobial! Now you can let your friends use your computer without fear of their germs lingering around your mouse pad long after they're gone. Note: this may not be seen as such a huge deal for people that aren't as disturbed by germs as I am.And at around $10 this mouse pad won't break the bank.So to sum up...I give this mouse pad a glowing five star review. It is exactly what I wanted (and more). I think I'll go ahead and buy another just in case they stop making these for whatever asinine reason.
